How to Identify Where a Driver is From...

This really does make me laugh! :)

1. One hand on wheel, one hand on horn:
MONTREAL
2. One hand on wheel, one finger out window:
TORONTO
3. One hand on wheel, one finger out window, cutting across all lanes of traffic:
OTTAWA
4. One hand on wheel, one hand on newspaper, cradling cell phone, balancing Tim Horton's coffee on knee, foot solidly on accelerator:
CALGARY
5. Both hands on wheel, eyes shut, both feet on brake, quivering in terror:
REGINA, but driving in TORONTO
6. Both hands in air, gesturing, both feet on accelerator, head turned totally to someone in the back seat:
QUEBEC CITY
7. One hand on 12 oz. double shot latte, one knee on wheel, cradling cell phone, foot on brake, mind on radio game, banging head on steering wheel while stuck in traffic:
VANCOUVER
8. One hand on wheel, one hand on hunting rifle, alternating between both feet being on the brake and both feet on the accelerator throwing a McDonald's bag out the window:
RED DEER
9. Four wheel drive pick-up truck, shotgun mounted in rear window, beer cans on the floor, raccoon tails attached to antenna:
SASKATOON
10. Two hands gripping wheel, blue hair barely visible above windshield driving 40 km/hr on highway in the left lane with the left blinker on:
VICTORIA

AND THE BEST ONE OF ALL:
11. One ski-doo mitt on steering wheel, one ski-doo mitt scraper inhand out front window scraping frost, Guess Who on 8 track playingShare The Land, hockey equipment smelling up car interior, waiting at lights for snow removal equipment to finish clearing intersection:
EDMONTON

Zoo trip!

An afternoon at the zoo is a good thing. Beautiful day, good company and simply being outside. It was great:)

January concert...

Just got home from seeing Evanescence and Stone Sour. It was ok...I'm glad I went, but I have definitely been to better concerts.

To me it seemed that the stage was too big, Amy Lee didn't have as much as a stage prescence that I would have expected, and one of the guitarist's seemed to have an issue facing the audience and spent most of his time listening to himself in the speakers at the back of the stage.

Amy Lee does have a great voice though, and there were a few cool effects.

Can't wait for the next one, I know it will be great!

Snowboarding!

Yesterday a friend and I went for a snowboarding lesson at Canada Olympic Park. It was great! We had SO much fun! The weather was great...snowing lightly, a little bit of sun but no snow blindness happened...and no wind. It was perfect! After an hour and a half lesson, a short break for a snack and then practice for a few more hours...we are on our way to the 2010 Olympics;) Woke up this morning and I am not nearly as sore as I thought I was going to be, surprising but I'm happy about that. Maybe that had something to do with gettting a one hour massage shortly after the day of snowboarding...

So two weeks from now we will be back learning more...I'm going to a pro before I know it! :)

I didn't think to bring my camera so I had to find a few pictures...nothing great, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like.

Holidays

My Christmas was fabulous, and my extra long weekend away was great! Caught up with all my friends there, saw just about everyone I had planned on seeing, had my one small disappointment (although I don’t really know why I was surprised), a little shopping, movies, dinners, a hike up the escarpment (twice – oops!!), found out a few people may just be heading my way in the next few months (exciting!!), and just spending time with people that matter. It was great…and I already miss you all:) Thank you so much for everything!
