The Calgary Tower

Happy 40th Birthday to the Calgary Tower! :)

A picture taken last night...the Calgary Tower (for those of you that don't know) is the building towards the centre of the photo. It looks like the Olympic torch for the '88 Olympics (what the torch was actually modelled after).

One quick thing...

In memory of George Carlin. 71 years. I knew him mostly for the Seven Dirty Words...speaking of all the things in life that we shouldn't talk about, the taboos, what is just not "right". Made me laugh anyway...

Well...who knew?! Today is the day that Banff became Canada's first national park:)
Happy 122nd Birthday!

A couple months have passed....

Well, apparently it is time to post again (since it was so elegantly requested in the previous post:).

I guess I just haven't really thought of anything to post, therefore leaving it blank seemed like a better idea.

Hm. A couple random thoughts:

I cannot believe how HUGE Frankie is getting - I knew he was going to be big, but his kitten stage lasted for about 7 months I would say. He is almost 11 months old (NOT even one) and he is already 13 lbs. Wow! Super cute (of course) but getting so big:)

How great is it to be able to have your hair stylist come over to your house, and have your hair cut on your porch? I mean really - I have to say that it's awesome!
Exciting news - my friends Michelle and Remi came to visit a couple weeks ago and it was so great to see them. The first time they ventured out here from Toronto, but Michelle loved it (Remi had an interesting time, so I think another visit will be warranted to win him over) and is definitely coming back sooner than later! I am going to be heading there soon hopefully to return the "trip favor".

Now...if I could just get someone else about 3 hours south of Toronto get his butt on a plane to visit somewhere he has also never been...and heaven forbid visit me! :)

Ok...I am going to really, really, really try to post more often even though I don't really know how many people read this...maybe I'll send out an email;)
