Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.

Sun dog!
Tonight on the way home from a movie, Shannon noticed that there was one sun dog (also known as mock suns) in the sky. I don't know why but I have always loved them. I wasn't able to take a picture myself, but I found this one and it's very similar to what we saw tonight. There is something mysterious about them, and we don't see them that often in the summer months so it was nice surprise:)

Russell Peters

I went to see Russell Peters after a fabulous Greek dinner last night with my family. A surprise Father's Day celebration if you will. He was fantastic. He is just as funny as any video or interview I've seen, and I love the fact that he is Canadian. If you ever get a chance to go see him live definitely run with it. My stomach still aches today from all the laughing I did last night.

Random sighting...
So I saw a weird thing this evening. Sitting with a friend, having dinner. Down the road drives a motorhome pulling a trailer. So far it's normal...now for what was on the trailer. A HUGE metal stag as well as two HUGE bulls in a fighting stance. Too weird. I have to wonder where they were going!
Oh, and it's good to know that the hay bale displays are already up in the mall and the wooden fences are being erected around the parking lot:)

I forgot!
So I completely forgot, but a couple of weeks ago I went to see The Killers in concert. Amazing. It was a fabulous show - much better than I had anticipated, and I was truly disappointed when it was time to go home. If you get a chance I would definitely recommend going to see them!

Don't Forget Me

There’s just one thing that I need to say
Before I close my eyes and walk away
There’s just one thing that I need to feel
Before I walk away against my will
Before I close my eyes and walk away
There’s just one thing that I need to feel
Before I walk away against my will
There’s just one thing that I need to hear
Before I walk away for the last time
There’s just one thing that I need to see
Before I take this chance and set us free
Don’t forget me
Don’t regret me
Don’t suspend me
Don’t neglect me
Don’t regret me
Don’t suspend me
Don’t neglect me
The memory of this still reminds me of you
The memory of this still reminds
The memory of this still reminds me of you
And that is where you’ll find me
The memory of this still reminds
The memory of this still reminds me of you
And that is where you’ll find me
Stars in your eyes
Did you take the time to realize
Did you take the time to realize
Can you count the stars in your eyes?
Did you take the time to realize?
Did you take the time to realize?
There’s just one thing that I need to say
Before I walk away
There’s just one thing that I need to feel
Before I walk away against my will
Before I walk away
There’s just one thing that I need to feel
Before I walk away against my will
Don’t forget me
Don’t regret me
The memory of this still reminds me of you
Don’t suspend me
The memory of this still reminds me
Don’t neglect me
The memory of this still reminds me of you
Don’t regret me
The memory of this still reminds me of you
Don’t suspend me
The memory of this still reminds me
Don’t neglect me
The memory of this still reminds me of you
The memory of this still reminds me
Stars in your eyes
Did you take the time to realize?
Stars in your eyes
Did you take the time to realize?
