Bring Me Water

A conversation yesterday with a close friend of mine yesterday has gotten me thinking again. Remembering the weeks before Christmas. She asked about something I had said in my last post. It’s opened the floodgates, so to speak. Weird. I thought I was ok with everything, and I am, but still. It is hard to think about, to remember, to forget. Thanks for making me talk about it a little though!

For whatever reason, I go to this song, Bring Me Water by Dexter Freebish. Strange how that works in my world…

Bring me water
Bring me laughter
Dancing children in a pasture

Going nowhere
Life's disaster
Spirits broken
Does it matter?

Bring me water
Bring me laughter
Dancing children in a pasture

Going nowhere
Life's disaster
Calling to the ever after

What else are friends for if you can't talk to them in a time of need. Often we think we are "ok" just when something ends up slapping us in the face and reminding us of sad times. Such a hard time for you and so glad I could be there. It makes me sad that it seems so hard to talk to friends sometimes when it is probably what would need the most to help mend the wound......but, then again sometime silence and time helps it mend on its own. There will always be a scar there but that doesn't show weakness, it shows strength in your journey. Your strength gives me inspiration and reminds me of howspecial you really are. All that are close to you gain strength in you. It is amazing how we are often afraid of distance but it is that which brings us so much closer to each other.

I'm sorry pain came back to you, but at least you know that just forgetting won't help.
